Welcome!

Welcome to Bite & Bloom Therapy. I provide specialized speech-language, feeding, and swallowing services for children and adults to support growth, independence, and quality of life.

Whether you or your loved one is experiencing feeding challenges, selective eating, swallowing difficulties, or communication needs, my goal is to provide individualized support that builds confidence and functional skills.

At Bite & Bloom Therapy, I take a compassionate, collaborative approach that supports each client and their support system.

Together, we work to help individuals take confident bites and bloom in their development.

My Story

My name is Rachel Conrad, and I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Bite & Bloom Therapy. I have been practicing as an SLP for over eight years, working with both children and adults across feeding, swallowing, and communication needs.

Speech-language pathology has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised by two speech-language pathologists, which gave me early exposure to the ways communication, feeding, and swallowing impact everyday life. Growing up around this field sparked my passion for helping others develop the skills they need to participate fully in their lives.

My connection to this work is also personal. As a child, I experienced a feeding disorder and now live with ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Because of this, I understand firsthand how complex and deeply personal feeding challenges can be. This perspective shapes the way I approach therapy—with empathy, patience, and respect for each individual’s experiences with food and mealtimes.

I founded Bite & Bloom Therapy to provide individualized, compassionate care for children and adults experiencing feeding, swallowing, and communication challenges. My goal is to create a supportive space where individuals feel understood and empowered as they build skills that support their health, independence, and quality of life.

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative and functional. I work closely with individuals, families, and other professionals to develop practical strategies that can carry over into everyday routines.

At Bite & Bloom Therapy, my focus is helping individuals take confident bites and bloom in their development.
